CATHERINE (Marina Foïs) and GIL (Maicon Rodriguez) wait in front of an old Catholic church to steal a Brazilian icon.
Here's the translation:
"Catherine falls in love with a complete stranger in a for her foreign Brazil. Will she succeed in reinventing herself - like the myth of the salamander that needs to walk through fire to do this?"
The attractive forty-year-old CATHERINE (Marina Foïs) leads a seemingly uneventful life in Paris. For years, she took care of her very ill father. When he dies, she reluctantly travels to Recife in Brazil to visit her sister AUDE (Anna Mouglalis) and gain some distance from her old life. On a sunny beach, Catherine meets a young Brazilian named GIL (Maicon Rodriguez), who enjoys his carefree life full of partying and flirting. A passionate affair develops between the unlikely pair, with an intensity that almost consumes Catherine. Like a salamander, she walks through this passionate fire, ultimately reinventing herself.
